Browser Settings

 

If you are having trouble using the Santel Website Builder Tools please check the following browser settings:

 

You will want to make sure cookies are enabled.  To see if your browser is set to this, we have included the different browser instructions to help you find this setting.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0+

  • Select "Internet Options" from the Tools menu.
  • Click on the "Privacy" tab.
  • Click the "Default" button (or manually slide the bar down to "Medium") under "Settings".
  • Click "OK".
  • Select "Internet Options" from the Tools menu.
  • Click on the "Security" tab.
  • Select Medium
  • Click OK

Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0+

  • Select "Internet Options" from the Tools menu.
  • Click on the "Security" tab.
  • Click the "Custom Level" button.
  • Scroll down to the "Cookies" section.
  • To enable:
    • Set "Allow cookies that are stored on your computer" to "Enable".
    • Set "Allow per-session cookies" to "Enable".
  • Click "OK".

Mozilla Firefox (1.0 final release and earlier)

  • Go to the "Tools" menu.
  • Select "Options".
  • Select the "Privacy" icon in the left panel.
  • Check the box corresponding to "Allow sites to set cookies".
  • Click "OK" to save changes.

Netscape 7.1/Mozilla 5.0

  • Select "Preferences" from the Edit menu.
  • Click on the arrow next to "Privacy & Security" in the scrolling window to expand.
  • Under "Privacy & Security", select "Cookies."
  • Select "Enable all cookies".
  • Click "OK".

Check for newer version option to be set to "Every visit to the page."

 

You will find this when using Internet Explorer 6.0+, you will find this by going to Internet Explorer and click on Tools, Internet Options, General and then Settings and screen will look like example below.

Norton Security Settings

  1. Please Open Norton Internet Security or Norton Personal Firewall
  2. In Norton Internet Security or Norton Personal Firewall 2004 or newer:
  3. Double-click Privacy Control and Move the slider to set Medium. This setting will avaid the Cookie Alert.

  • Website builder comes with a rich text editor and a java based page manater feature. The specific browser capabilities with respect to these two features are outlined below.
